Full-service and renovation work runs on a flat design fee, scoped and quoted after a paid discovery, plus the cost of furnishings. Some furnishings come at a trade discount, which we disclose up front. E-design and consultations are flat, fixed fees. We don’t run an hourly meter on the design fee, and we never mark up your furniture or art behind your back.
A complete, shoppable plan for your room: a style-matched mood board, a material and color palette, a to-scale floor plan, a render or elevation, a product list with links, one revision round, and a self-install guide. You buy the products yourself (and keep any trade savings we can pass along) and install at your own pace. It works anywhere in the country.
A full-service whole house is typically six to ten months from concept to install, depending on construction, custom pieces, and lead times. A single styled room can be a few weeks; a renovation runs longer with permits and trades. We set a realistic timeline in the proposal — and tell you honestly where the long poles are. Timelines vary with scope and the trades involved.
It depends entirely on scope, but as a frame: e-design starts at $1,850 a room; full-service design fees start around $35,000 plus furnishings; renovations add construction. We talk budget honestly in the first discovery session — if the numbers and the dream don’t match, we’ll tell you before you’ve spent a dollar on design.
Our full-service and renovation work is concentrated in greater LA — the canyons, the Westside, Pasadena, Malibu — where we can be on site and manage the trades. Our e-design practice has no geography: we design rooms and whole homes remotely for clients anywhere in the country, and occasionally travel to style the final layer.
Yes. As a registered design business we have to-the-trade access to lines and artisans that aren’t open to the public, and we pass appropriate savings to you, disclosed transparently. Where we earn a trade margin, we tell you. We’re an ASID Industry Partner and hold a California resale certificate.
As much or as little as you like. Full-service clients can hand us the keys and see the home at the reveal, or weigh in on every selection — most land in between. We present, you react, we refine. The one thing we ask is an honest brief and decisions made on time, so the trades stay on schedule.
